MullenLowe - #WorldCupRace - Case Study
A 100% phygital experiment: 90 minutes of competition in real time, 90 minutes of tweets. The stream of "hashflags" implemented by Twitter for supporting the different national teams at the World Cup 2014, converted into a different kind of data visualization: 2 slot cars powered by those tweets competing against each other, each tweet to each team made the car go further, and the fans who tweeted the most won the race! The challenge was streamed throughYouTube while gathering information about goals at the football matches from Google.
